1. Wall-E

Wall-E is a sci-fi comedy romantic film from Pixar and Disney studios. Wall-E has an IMDb rating of 8.4 stars out of 10.

The film is set in the year 2805 when a cleaning robot named Waste Allocation Load Lifter: Earth Class (WALL-E) is the only inhabitant robot of the Earth after humans fled the planet in the 22nd century. Humans destroyed Earth, covering it with waste due to over-exploitation.

The titular character has survived by salvaging parts from other robots and has developed feelings and personalities over time. Everything changes for Wall-E when he is visited by a sleek white robot named Extraterrestrial Vegetation Evaluator (EVE) to access his findings and sustainable life on Earth.

The two instantly develop feelings and embark on a voyage to the mothership Axiom, where humans have lived for the past 700 years and turned into obese and lazy creatures. Wall-E and EVE fight to gain control of the ship from an AI gone rogue and bring everyone back home to Earth.

2. Toy Story

Toy Story is a 1995 feature film with an 8.3-star rating on IMDb. Toy Story is the first computer-animated full-feature film and the first from Pixar.

The feature film follows a group of living toys and their owner Andy as they tackle day-to-day problems. Woody, a sheriff toy, is Andy's favorite one at the beginning of the film, but he becomes jealous after Andy receives a Buzz Lightyear toy as his last-minute birthday gift.

Woody and Buzz have a cold war between them to become Andy's favorite and they have numerous battles with one another over time. Buzz believes himself to become a real space ranger but is heartbroken after he learns he is just another toy through a television commercial.

Towards the end of the film, Woody picks up Buzz from his despair of learning about his reality and the two reunite to fight Andy's neighbor who mutated other toys. They also work together to catch Andy's truck as he moves to a new house.

Woody and Buzz make a truce at the end of the film only to see Andy getting a dachshund puppy as his Christmas gift putting everyone's life at risk.

3. Up

Up is a 2009 animated feature film with an 8.3-star rating on IMDb. Up was the first 3D film from Pixar.

The film is directed by Pete Docter and stars actors Ed Asner, Jordan Nagai, Christopher Plummer, and Bob Peterson, among others to voice the characters. The film was released on May 29, 2009, in the United States of America. It grossed $735.1 million worldwide against a budget of $175 million.

The film follows Carl Fredricksen in his late 70s and retired life. He is deemed a public menace by the court after injuring a construction worker. He decides to fulfill his promise made to his late wife of taking shifting their home to a cliffside overseeing Paradise Falls in South America.

He turns his home into a makeshift airship by attaching numerous helium balloons to his home and flies to South America. He takes Russell, an eight-year-old, with him without knowing. They encounter different animals and problems as they fly toward South America.

At the end of the film, the house lands on a cliff overseeing Paradise Falls in South America without Carl's knowledge and he hitches a ride home with Muntz in his airship.

4. Finding Nemo

Finding Nemo is a 2009 animated comedy-drama with an 8.2-star rating on IMDb. Finding Nemo was released on May 30, 2003.

The animated film is directed by Andrew Stanton and stars Albert Brooks, Ellen DeGeneres, Alexander Gould, Willem Dafoe, and Geoffrey Rush to provide a voice to ensemble characters.

The film follows a clownfish named Marlin as he embarks on a voyage to find his only son Nemo. He suffered a great deal when his entire family was eaten by a barracuda and is not willing to quit on Nemo. He was taken by people on a speedboat and ends up in an aquarium in a dentist's office in Sydney.

Marlin finds Dory, a blue tang with a short-term memory loss problem but she offers to help Marlin in his expedition. They come across a group of sea turtles who also help them reach Sydney, they are consumed by a blue whale but it expells them through its blowhole, and are chased by a forest of jellyfish during their ordeal.

At last, Marlin is able to find his son Nemo with the help of numerous other fishes and characters in the film. The film grossed $940.3 million against a budget of $94 million which includes its 3-D re-release in 2012.

5. Inside Out

Inside Out is a 2015 animated feature film made by Pixar Studio with an 8.1-star rating on IMDb. Inside Out is directed by Pete Docter.

The film follows an 11-year-old girl named Riley as she battles her own emotions. Her five emotions are portrayed as the personification of Joy, Sadness, Fear, Disgust, and Anger. Joy is the leader among the emotions working with others to limit the influence of sadness.

Riley moves to San Francisco from Minnesota with her family which has an emotional toll on her life. She does not get to spend time with her father as he is busy setting up a pizza parlor that sells pizzas with broccoli toppings. Riley is disgusted by broccoli. Sadness gets better from all the emotions and starts affecting Riley.

Joy tries to mend the situation but she ends up making things much worse, she accidentally disables Riley's memory islands and gets lost in Riley's memory dump while trying to fix the situation.

However, at last, Joy understands Sadness's purpose after seeing a sad memory turned to joy when Riley's parents and friends comfort her. Joy hands the control to Sadness which prompts Riley to confess her feelings to her parents and a new memory consisting of happiness and sadness forms as a result of Riley's acceptance of changes in her life.

6. Monster Inc

Monster Inc has an 8.1-star rating on IMDb with nearly 1 million votes. Monster Inc was released on November 2, 2001, in the USA.

The film follows a monster world where a city named Monstropolis has a company known for sending out monsters to children's bedroom closets with specially made portal doors to scare them and harvest energy from the kid's screams.

The job of going to scare kids is considered dangerous as they are believed to be toxic. However, lately, kids have stopped screaming and getting frightened bringing an energy crisis to Monstropolis. The CEO of Monster Inc is determined to avert the crisis at any cost.

In the meantime, a top scarer James P. "Sulley" Sullivan accidentally lets a human girl into the monster world. He discovers children's laughter is 10 times more powerful than their scream in producing energy and they are not toxic as believed in the monster world.

Sully and his friend Mike Wazowski try to hide the little girl in the monster world before returning her safely but her cover is blown causing widespread chaos in Monstropolis. Sully and Mike go to a great deal to protect and at last return the little girl to the human world.

However, during the struggle the evil intentions of Monster Inc's CEO are revealed, and he is later arrested by authorities. Sully becomes the CEO of the company and Mike becomes the top comedian among the monsters.

7. Zootopia

Zootopia has an 8.0-star rating on IMDb. Zootopia was released on March 4, 2016, in the United States of America.

The film is based on an animal world where anthropomorphic mammals live their day-to-day life in harmony. Judy Hopps who has become a police officer and heads to Zootopia, the large city of the world. She is assigned to a parking duty which she does not follow and ends up getting punished.

However, she takes on an assignment of finding one of 14 missing mammals Emmitt. She confronts Nick, a fox, as he was the last one to see Emmitt and they together follow trials to solve the case.

Although Judy finally finds all the missing mammals by connecting the dots, she resigned after Zootopia is left in chaos after her comments about predators turning savages due to their biological urges. She heads home after resigning to help her parents with their vegetable stands.

Judy later finds out the mammals turned savages due to the effect of a special flower called Night Howlers with lasting psychedelic effects. She realizes her mistakes, reconciles with Nick, and apologizes to others for her earlier comments.

Judy finds the night howlers were grown and made into serum to infect mammals by Bellwether, she manages to arrest her with the help of ZPD and Nick but not before much drama. Judy resumes her duties in ZPD and Fox joins her as her partner after graduating police academy and becoming the first fox police officer.
