Amou Haji cause of death was revealed to the public recently. Amou was an Iranian man who refused to shower or wash for 67 years. He remained dirty for half of the century.
Haji was convinced that he shouldn’t take a shower for 67 years because bad luck came upon him whenever he took a shower. He decided to avoid showering for as long as he could.
He was entitled “world’s dirtiest man” that ever lived on earth. As per his reports, his health was fine, and he had no issues.
He used to eat raw roadkills. It is healthy to eat them, but they can cause rotting, rabies, and other health problems.
For drinking, he used dirty mud water from the puddles. He avoided drinking pure water for his entire life.
Haji’s neighbors tried convincing him to shower, but he refused. Later, his health was affected, and he died now.
After his death, his neighbors told him that Amou had been lonely his entire life. A reason for his loneliness was not taking a shower. Not taking a shower made it difficult for people to come close to him to make him his friend.
From strong sources, it was heard that Haji ate uncooked porcupine roadkill and smoked pipes that were filled with animal manure.
Being the dirtiest man in the world attracted experts to test his health. The experts were shocked because despite eating decaying meat and muddy water and being unhygienic, he was unaffected by diseases and parasites.
Haji was tested for disease or parasite symptoms by associate professor of parasitology Dr. Gholamreza Molavi belonging to The Tehran University of Medical Sciences School of Public Health.
Other tests were also performed on Haji, including various forms of hepatitis, AIDS, and other infections and diseases.
After the test results, Haji was found with no disease or any traces of harmful parasites. Molavi concluded that Haji’s immunity may have strengthened, which keeps his healthy completely normal.
Only a trace of trichinosis was found in his system. A disease that had produced no symptoms in his body.
Trichinella is a form of small cysts that flows to situate in muscles. They form due to larvae hatching in uncooked meat, mostly from dogs and bears.
The larvae in the muscles stay in the host for their entire life. It slowly kills its host and waits until it gets eaten by another host to start the process again.
Haji has an incredible educational background and is aware of current affairs and politics. He complained that people occasionally came close to him to either taunt him or throw stones at him.
He said that he successfully escaped from two attempts to wash him. One was when locals tried to wash him, but he ran away.
On another occasion, he was being escorted to a river from the car. Somehow, he managed to open the car door and escape.
A source said, “For the first time a few months ago, villagers had taken him to a bathroom to wash.”
Being showered after 67 years affected his health rapidly. He fell ill, and his health conditions got worse every day until he died.
It was reported that he fell into critical health condition on Sunday, Oct 23, at his house located in the village of Dejgah. His exact death age wasn’t confirmed.
At the time of his death, it was reported that he was 94 years old. Later, it was claimed that Haji was 87. His funeral took place in Deirm Farashband on Tuesday.
