Anderson Varejao is a professional basketball player from Brazil. He played for Franca Basquetebol Clube before moving to FC Barcelona, where he won the Euroleague championship in 2003. Varejao was drafted by the Orlando Magic in the 2004 NBA Draft but was quickly traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers. He has played for the Cavaliers since then and was selected to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team in 2010.
Varejao has also represented Brazil in international competitions, winning Gold Medals at the South American Basketball Championship and Pan American Games in 2003, as well as the Santo Domingo and San Juan FIBA Americas Championships in 2005 and 2009, respectively. He signed a two-year $11.1 million deal in 2007 and a six-year $42.5 million extension in 2009. His current net worth is estimated to be $48 million.
