Armed and dangerous man Rockdale County, sheriff's office says

ATLANTA — A man considered "armed and dangerous" in Rockdale County has been taken into custody, authorities said.

Deputies with the Rockdale County Sheriff's Office initially warned residents to stay clear of a man wanted as a person of interest in a series of offenses that range from property crime to aggravated assault.

Rockdale County Schools said two of their schools were on lockdown Tuesday morning, but have since been cleared to return to normal operations.

The investigation is ongoing.
