TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger claimed that he has put eyes on OC Nice’s goal keeper David Ospina. The Gunners is said to be soon announce Ospina transfer.
Ospina performed brightly with Columbia national team in 2014 World Cup. The 25-year-old assisted his country in recording two clean sheets in five appearances.
“I’ve known him for a long time because he played for Nice and he went there a few years ago and slowly became a very important player for them,” said Wenger as quoted by Metro.co.uk.
“Hugo Lloris played for Nice before he moved to Lyon and after he moved they played Ospina. He had a big impact straight away and Lloris was not an easy player to replace.”
Arsenal have not yet confirmed the signing but the move has been expected for some time, with the Gunners reportedly paying Nice just over £3million for Ospina.
