Ian Rapoport of NFL Network noted the Browns were asking potential trade partners for a third-round pick in return for Mingo, adding it was a "steep" price.
Browns Would've Been on Verge of Major Rebuild
Schefter reported on Nov. 1 on SportsCenter that linebacker Paul Kruger could have been dealt, per Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com, while Rapoport tweeted that both left tackle Joe Thomas and center Alex Mack could be moved as well.
Mingo, 25, was the team's first-round pick in 2013 and the sixth pick overall. He's yet to live up to the lofty expectations around him, however, registering just 101 tackles, seven sacks, one fumble recovery and one interception in 39 career games. He doesn't have a sack this season.
Mingo is an excellent athlete, but he has looked lost at times in Cleveland's scheme.
