FULTON COUNTY, Ga. -- Official details about the death of the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown were released Friday. The findings revealed Bobbi Kristina Brown's death was eerily similar to her mother's.

Bobbi Kristina Brown was just 18 when her mom died, drowning in a bathtub with cocaine in her system. This was in 2012. Nearly three years later, on Jan. 31, 2015, Brown was found face-down in her own tub. She never recovered.

How they were found

According to an autopsy report released by the Los Angeles Coroner's Office, Houston's personal assistant found her face-down in the bathtub. With the help of a bodyguard, she pulled Houston out and called 911.

Drugs involved

According to Houston's toxicology report, a cocktail of drugs were found in her system.

"Cocaine and metabolites were identified and were contributory to the death. Marijuana, Alprazolam (Xanax), Cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril) and Diphenhydramine (Benadryl) were identified but did not contribute to the death," the report read.

Autopsy findings in Brown's death also revealed a cocktail of drugs.

"Marijuana, alcohol (ethanol), benzoylecgonine (a cocaine-related substance), benzodiazepines (medications used for sedation or to treat anxiety), and morphine. It could not be determined from toxicology tests whether the morphine resulted from heroin use," the summary read.

Causes of death

The Los Angeles County coroner's office determined Whitney Houston's official cause of death to be: "drowning and effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use."

Brown's cause of death is listed as lobar pneumonia due to "hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy, delayed effects" and "immersion of face in water complicating mixed drug intoxication."

Manner of death

Houston's manner of death was ruled accidental.

Brown's manner of death is classified as undetermined. The Fulton County medical examiner said "death was clearly not due to natural causes." The district attorney made it clear that this case is still under investigation.

Neither died as a result of natural causes.
