Personal Statement

Hello coaches, my name is Brendan Davis and I am a 6ft 180 lb. RHP/OF looking to play ball at the highest level possible.  I have been playing baseball since I could walk, and it has shaped me into the person I am today.  Baseball has taught me crucial leadership skills, decision-making skills, critical thinking skills, and so forth.  But most importantly, it has taught me how to be a better son, brother, teammate, and person as a whole.  I have had the blessing of playing highly competitive travel baseball for the past 8 years as well as playing JV baseball as a freshmen, and Varsity for Sophomore and Junior years.  Some of my proudest achievements include holding my high schools 5th lowest ERA of all time,  having a .79 ERA my JV year, being a 5 time RCS scholar athlete, and helping my travel team win the USSSA Kensington Valley Classic.  However, this success did not come from purely luck or skill.  I have always pushed myself to be better, especially in sports, and that contributes towards my success.  I currently train 3 days a week weightlifting, 3 days a week of speed/agility, 1 day a week with my pitching trainer, as well as when baseball and football (which I also play) practice can start back up.  Outside of baseball, I pride myself on having a 4.1 weighted GPA and 4.0 unweighted, spending time with my family/friends, and enjoying life through one of my many hobbies.  With that being said, I love nothing more than getting to play baseball with my friends/teammates and doing everything I can to win.
