After Browns safety Grant Delpit took a heavy fall on the left back of his leg in overtime, the Wirfs injury video has been circulating online. (Click here to watch the video)
Tristan Wirfs, a correct tackle for the Buccaneers, exited Sunday’s game on a cart after suffering a left leg injury in overtime. Still, the early reports on his condition are not as dire as one might think given that turn of events.
Todd Bowles, the head coach of the Buccaneers, described it as a leg injury and said that Wirfs needed assistance getting to his locker. His injury’s extent is currently unknown.
That is undoubtedly not ideal for Tom Brady and the Bucs, who are currently 5-6 on the year and competing for first place in the NFC South.
In addition to a few other absences, they previously played the Week 12 game without running back Leonard Fournette.
Before Wirf’s injury, the Buccaneers allowed the second-fewest sacks in the NFL, per TeamRankings.com.
After Wirfs left the game, Tampa Bay could not win in Cleveland and lost 23-17 overtime to the Browns.
What did the video depict?
Despite the severity of the injury appearing to be severe in video replays, Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles called it a leg injury.
Tristan Wirfs, an offensive tackle with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was forced off Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns in overtime due to an injury.
The former Pro Bowler has carried off the field with just over three minutes left in overtime.
He suffered an injury after Browns’ Grant Delpit scooped him up and crashed against Wirfs’ leg, knocking him to the ground.
After the play, Wirfs was able to stand up himself.
The Buccaneer’s offensive line had little alternative but to halt the strangely jumping Cleveland defender during the play.
Unfortunately, Wirfs was struck, and a cart had to be summoned.
Wirfs was allegedly seen walking in the locker room with a boot on his left leg, giving the reason for optimism that the problem may not be as terrible as first thought or as the replays seem to indicate.
What occurred to Wirfs, according to the game’s commentators, was “too nasty” to be seen on television.
The X-Ray report
His wounded leg’s X-rays came back negative as well. Nevertheless, the 23-year-old Pro Bowler will likely miss some time due to the setback, regardless of his health.
Injuries to his hip are affecting Fournette.
Although they have not yet provided an update on his injury, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers tweeted that they were still thinking of him.

As the Buccaneers consider their options for Wirfs’ recuperation, more tests will be performed on him. We can only hope that he returns as soon as possible.
