Personal Statement

My name is Carter Woollums.  I am a right handed pitcher from Johnston, Iowa.  

My short-term goal is to gain weight through strength training and nutrition.  My academic goals are to maintain good grades.  I have an interest in business and would like to pursue a degree in accounting.  Outside of school and baseball I like to spend time with family and friends, playing basketball and fishing.

Baseball has been a huge part of my life. I have had some of the most amazing experiences over the years including pitching on ESPN for the Junior League World Series in 2019 and in regionals in 2017 on the road to the Little League World Series.  Most recently, I helped lead my high school baseball team to back-to-back Iowa class 4A state championships. I am coachable, focused and have experience under pressure.  Baseball has helped me to grow as a leader and teammate.  I am blessed to have the support of my family and coaches as I desire to play at the next level and to keep playing the game I love.
