Personal Statement

My Name is Christopher McArdle and I am a three-sport athlete graduating from Northern Valley Regional Demarest in 2012 who is committed to living my childhood dream of playing Division 1 Lacrosse in College. I am roughly 5'10", 175lbs, but rapidly increasing in muscular weight. Along with participating in varsity Football, Hockey, and Lacrosse, I Spend my time training with the Varsity House Strength and Condtioning Program. In August 2010, I attended the Tri-State Lacrosse camp at Peddie High School in southen New Jersey where I was awarded Camp Offensive MVP and caught the attention of the various Tri-State coaches. This past November 2010, I tried out for the Tri-State All-Star team and was accepted in the months following. Although lacrosse is my priority as I have a special affection towards the game, I have always been multi-talented and considered an all around above average athlete. Throughout my life-long sports career, I have always held a reputation for pushing myself as well as my teammates as far as possible during the long hours of practice and training. Being a multi-sport athlete participating in countless playoff and championship games, I feel I have developed a solid overall sports mentality and remain even-keeled at all times. Because of my work ethic and leadership, I was chosen to be captain of the Varsity Football team in my upcoming senior year. As far as geographical location of a potential school I do not have much preferance, I am happiest in warmer weather but, being a hockey player, I have a tolerance for cold as well. In terms of school size, I am also very open to the various sizes and types. In college I plan to major in a field related to law or law practice but I have not completely narrowed it down yet. In conclusion, I am a well rounded athlete who is extrememly determined to take my athletic talents in Lacrosse to the next level and doing everything in my control to improving my chances of doing so.
