Personal Statement

My name is Colin Hickey, I play Quarterback and I am going into my Junior year at San Marin High school in Novato, Ca.  I have maintained a G.P.A over 3.0 since the 6th grade and school work is more important than the sports I have played.  My personal goal is to attend college, achieve my degree and play Football for the school I fit best at.  I work very hard to complete all of my goals.  During the off- season I work out with Kenion training and I also play on one of their 7on7 teams.  

My Family and playing football have taught me the importance of teamwork and to be a leader on and off the field. I have donated time away from school for local sport camps working as an instructor by working with the youth within my community as well as kids from other states.  I have also volunteered my time to the local Sheriff's Office and acted as a role player in training's that they hold for their Deputies.

I want colleges that are interested in me to know that I am a disciplined person that gives 100% in everything I do.  I believe my future education is the key to success in life and that is my main focus.  I also want them to know that if I am able to play football for them, I will be the hardest working player they have! I am always trying to improve myself and I will not stop striving for perfection.  I get this attitude and work ethic from my family who is always there for me and support everything I do.
