Personal Statement

Hi, my name is Colleen. I am currently attending Galesburg-Augusta High School and Kalamazoo Area Math and Science Center (KAMSC). This year I am taking two AP classes including Chemistry and Government. Next year I will be taking four AP classes including Biology, Calculus, English, and Environmental Science. I have a 4.0 GPA and am currently third in my class. In college I plan to major in Physical Therapy. I am also a member of NHS and the student council at Galesburg-Augusta.

I believe that I would be a good candidate for your team because I believe in being a team player. Being part of a team gives you many opportunities including making lifelong friendships, leadership, responsibility, and learning how to work as a team to accomplish a goal. At every practice and game I work my hardest and push my teammates to do the same.

Being a college volleyball player has been a dream of mine for many years. At both games and practices I leave it all out on the floor. I believe that if you want to win championships you and your team need to be able to work together and leave it all out on the floor together. When I become a college player I plan to give it 120% at both games and practices and will push my team to do the same.
