The Jazz announced Favors was available to play Monday against Detroit.

Favors Vital to Jazz on Both Ends of Floor

The emergence of Rudy Gobert overshadowed Favors throughout the 2014-15 season, but his numbers were impressive.

While playing a career-high 30.8 minutes, Favors averaged 16 points, eight rebounds and 1.7 blocks. He also shot 52.5 percent from the field during that span. According to Basketball-Reference.com, Favors joined Pau Gasol, DeMarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis as the only players to average at least 16 points, eight boards and 1.5 blocks a year ago.

Perhaps more impressive is that Favors continued to boast impressive range for a 6'10'', 246-pound power forward. A season after shooting 37 percent between 10 and 16 feet, Favors drilled 40.1 percent of his looks from that same range.

Favors is averaging 16.8 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.2 blocks as the centerpiece of an improving Jazz team.
