Dianne Wiest daughters Lily Wiest and Emily Wiest were adopted before she acted in the movie Parenthood (1989). The Wiest family lives in New York.

In a 1989 interview, the actress discussed the character Helen Buckman who is divorced with teenage daughters. The reporter questioned Wiest about how she felt being a single mother to her daughters. The actress answered that she wanted a home where her grandchildren could come and feel comfortable - where she never has to move out, no matter how big her family gets.

Emily Wiest was charged with robbery in 2006. She is currently 35 years old.

Emily studied in an elite Manhattan private school when she was accused of allegedly beating and stealing the iPod music player of her fellow classmate. She was charged with two counts of second-degree robbery.

Wiest, 18, received a $150 fine and two days of community service on August 4, 2006, by the guidelines laid out in a hearing before Judge ShawnDyan Simpson.

Dianne Wiest's daughters have stayed relatively low in public. However, Emily is available on Instagram in private mode.
