Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Diego Figueroa, class of 2023.

I began playing soccer with a club team when I was 9, but it wasn't until I was 12 that I became determined to train individually every day. That same year, I made it to tier 1. I have continued playing with top-level teams, including my current team, in tier 1, U17 with Calgary Foothills Soccer Club. Over the years, my biggest strength has been the discipline to work individually to improve my game outside of team practices while still being a top student in school. From grade 7 till now, I have had an above 90% average. I am sure I can help your team with my ability to score goals and adapt to different play styles quickly.
