Ella was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She peacefully transitioned to her final resting place April 9,2023, Resurrection Sunday, at the age of 81.
She chose to live a simple life, putting her focus on her daughters and grandchildren. After retiring from many years of working at K-Mart, she took an interest in reading, cooking, writing poetry, and crocheting. She loved getting in the kitchen and making everyone’s favorite meal and teaching others how to cook.
Ella is survived by five daughters, Gwendolyn Harris, Kayren Harris-Norflett, Leslie Hale, Sylvia Robinson, and Roslyn Stephens, surviving siblings Eva, Ana Doris and Pauline, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her loyal friend, who was always at her feet, her Pitbull Hennesy.
Even though she has taken her eternal rest, her gentle smile, quick wit, and stern teachings will live with us forever.
