Personal Statement
I finally found my passion for running during the fifth grade. My middle school was hosting a three-kilometer race during the school day. Every since my first "race", I've been hooked. As now, a high school student, I have set high expectations and goals for myself during my high school cross country career. Now, I do need to start to plan my future. In college, I would like to study medicine in hopes of becoming an orthopedic surgeon or a medical scientist and also continuing my running career. I am very self disciplined and determined to create tough standards to be an outgoing student along with a great athlete.
Pushing myself to become a better runner and more importantly a successful student has always paid off for me. During any season of the year, you can find me running or working out at our local gym facility striving to get an edge from the rest of the competition. Prolonging injuries have tried to test my passion and dedication to the sport, but fails each time. I can -and will- not stop until I get the results I dream of.
