Ten Dirty Dancing superfans are headed for a lakeside filming location reminiscent of the iconic film in a brand new competition series called The Real Dirty Dancing. Kicking off on Channel 4, 10 celebrities are about to have ‘the time of their lives’ playing the roles of Baby and Johnny in an all-new dancing competition.
Dirty Dancing and its soundtrack brings on some serious feelings of nostalgia for many people. So, let’s take a look at who is taking part in the dance show and get to know the Real Dirty Dancing cast a little more.
What is the Real Dirty Dancing about?
Channel 4’s The Real Dirty Dancing sees pairs of celebrities learn how to dance at a lakeside filming location reminiscent of the movie’s Kellerman’s Mountain House.
The aim of the competition is to be the last Frances “Baby” Houseman and Johnny Castle standing.
The couples have to complete challenges which are taken from the film during the show, and judging by the show’s trailer, it appears that that lift in the lake is one of the tasks…

Co-hosting the eight-part series is Dirty Dancing superfan, comedian and actor Keith Lemon and Pussycat Doll, Ashley Roberts.

The Creative Director of Dreamboys, Jordan Darrell, is also on hand on the show to assist the celebs in learning the dance steps.
