Personal Statement

My name is Gillian Head, and I am a freshman at DAR High School. My goals are to become a collegiate volleyball player, major in Marine Biology. What makes me a good candidate is that I love the sport and I work as hard as I can to improve on every little and big thing. What makes me different is that I always helping and cheering on my teammates because I love to see my teammates succeed in everything they do.  Also, what sets me apart, is that I am a multi-sport player, 4.0 grade point average, and Freshman Class President. I am an all-around player. I play where the team needs me. The positions I have played are setter, DS, and hitter. 

I have played travel volleyball for 3 years.  I played for Bama Elite a Muciana Volleyball organization for 1 year and currently playing for United Volleyball in Huntsville, AL. I have played school volleyball since my 7th grade year, being a starter every year. My coaches say I am very coachable.  I have been on the varsity Cross Country team for 2 years and I have  been on the varsity track team my since my 7th grade year.
