The Gwinnett County Police Department will hold a job fair this Saturday, Nov. 15.
GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. -- The Gwinnett County Police Department will hold a job fair this Saturday, Nov. 15.
The fair will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Gwinnett County Police Training Center, 854 Winder Highway, Lawrenceville.
The department said it hopes to hire new police and communications officers. Those who are interested are encouraged to apply online ahead of Saturday's job fair. Walk-up applications will also be accepted.
According to the Gwinnett County website, the police officer application process can take between two and four months to complete. Potential officers must complete a number of steps, including a preliminary orientation, physical fitness test, oral interview and drug screening.
Gwinnett County offers benefits and a competitive salary to all its police and communications officers.
