Personal Statement
My name is Hannah Blacher and I'm a junior at Northern Highlands Regional High School. I've been playing soccer since I could walk and my goal athletically at the collegiate level is to continue playing the game I love. I'm an extremely competitive person and have taken part in multiple sports the past few years including basketball, softball, cross country, and lacrosse but my favorite has always been soccer. I am a very coachable and versatile player, as I can play attacking positions like an attacking center midfielder or forward and also defensive positions like my high school position this year, a center defensive midfielder. I strive for perfection and am willing to put in extra hours of work to make sure things get done right. I am a very focused player and a firm believer that you play the way you practice which is why I give 100% of my focus and effort at every practice. On the field in both club and high school soccer, I control the middle of the field with communication, strength, and effort.
Off the field, I am very dedicated to giving back my time to younger kids and kids that need it. I love incorporating sports into the work I do with kids so I can possibly effect their love for the game they are playing, just as the Northern Highlands Girls Soccer team did for me when I was younger. I work just as hard in the classroom as I do on the field and carry a 3.9 GPA that I'm working to raise and am a High Honor Roll student. Overall, I am a motivated person who prioritizes my time in the classroom, on the field, and with my family to optimize my success in an efficient and enjoyable way and someone who loves and wants to continue playing the game of soccer at a higher level.
