According to reps, George Lopez is recovering from the flu after the comedian reportedly fell sick during a stand-up show on New Year’s Eve.

TMZ first reported that Lopez, 60, walked off the stage at the Muckleshoot Casino Resort in Auburn, Wash., and an ambulance was called to attend to him.

The Grammy-nominated Lopez, “performed for about 45 minutes” at the Muckleshoot Casino Resort in Auburn, Washington, Friday afternoon “before he had to excuse himself,” Lopez’s rep clarifies. 

According to TMZ, an ambulance was seen pulling up at the venue, but he “did not go to the hospital,” the rep says, adding that paramedics treated him on site. 

An eyewitness told TMZ the comedian started to look visibly sick before leaving in the middle of his show. In a short video clip obtained by TMZ, Lopez can be seen on stage apologizing: “I’m sorry, I’m sorry … I just …” 

On Friday evening, the Muckleshoot Casino Resort announced Lopez’s night show canceling on Twitter and their official website. 

“It is with sincere apologies and regret that we must announce the cancellation of the 8 p.m. New Year’s Eve performance by George Lopez,” the announcement read. His performance was rescheduled to Friday, March 18. 

The actor’s rep told USA TODAY that he is back in his Los Angeles home, “recuperating from a case of the flu.” 

Despite the New Year’s Eve incident, Lopez has posted on Instagram. 

Over the weekend, he paid tribute to the late Betty White, who died December 31, sharing a clip from an interview with the actress on his former talk show “Lopez Tonight.” 

“You know you’re loved when the entire world feels like 99 years just isn’t enough💔💔” Lopez wrote of White. “Your light is too bright to ever be dimmed. Thank you for the years of laughter and comedic genius, you will be dearly missed. 🙏🏽🤍🕊”
