Personal Statement

Hi, my name is Isabel! I am a competitive person. Quick story: one day when I was young and on vacation with my family, we were caught walking in a rainstorm. It was fun but we laughed hardest after I demanded to know from my parents who was the most soaked, me or my sisters. I take that sense of fun and competition into everything I do, including school and soccer. I’ve been playing the game since I was five, and I have been a defender on the Michigan Hawks for the past six years. This past year I’ve mostly played center back, but depending on the game, my coach may move me to outside back or occasionally to holding mid. I practice hard and I play harder, and I have fun the whole time because I love the game. I listen, I am a quick learner, and I am coachable. Your team will be better—and more fun!—with me on it.
