Personal Statement

On the court, I am a communicative team leader who runs the offense and gets my teammates involved while also being a scoring threat because of my outside shot and driving ability. I also enjoy stepping up to guard the better players of the other team, and I led my varsity team in charges both sophomore and junior year. I view myself as a great listener who can apply what I’m being told into my game successfully and who will rarely make the same mistake twice, as well as a reliable and supportive teammate. Academically, I’m a dedicated student, with a 4.53 cumulative weighted GPA in high school so far, as well as scoring a 5 and a 4 on AP tests, and placing in the 99th percentile of both the SAT and the PSAT. When it comes to character, I have never received a detention or referral and I think of myself as a generally friendly and sociable person to those around me who can fit in well with different groups of people.
