A talented boy born on March 13, 1998, in Louisville, Kentucky, Jack Thomas Harlow grew up with an upper-middle-class family, who belongs to Shelbyville, Kentucky.

 So when Jak Harlow managed to buy a professional microphone when he was in seventh grade, he released the first mixtape, ‘Extra Credit’ under the name Mr. Harlow.

With a bunch of friends, Harlow established a collective called “Moose Gang.” But, it was at this time that he worked on the mixtapes “Moose Gang” and “Music for the Deaf,” both of which were eventually never published. 

Eventually, in August 2018, he signed to DJ Drama and Generation and released a number of mixtapes, including Private Garden and Gazebo. 

His track, Whats Poppin, which was just released on January 21, 2020, turned out to be a life changing experience for him and his career. The song has received more than 380 million Spotify views and 100 million views on YouTube.  

Harlow was an associate founder of Private Garden. His casual nature rap delivery has led to acclaim for his beautiful melodies and rhythms, which is known for its smart wordplay and thoughtful topics in general.

According to Harlow, it is his duty as a white rapper to embrace his art with the understanding that he “can never truly know what [the experience of racism] is like” due to his race.

Jack Harlow’s heart is so big that he made several donations in his career. AMPED, the Center for Women and Families, the Louisville Urban League, and Metro United Way were some Louisville-based organizations to which Harlow made donations in 2021.

Not only that, KFC and Instagram agreed to cover up to $50,000 of the funds raised by Harlow using Instagram’s fundraising feature.

To aid individuals affected by a terrible storm in the western part of the country, Harlow collaborated with KFC and its parent company Yum! Brands to contribute a collective $250,000 to the American Red Cross in December 2021.

The What’s Poppin artist attended the 2022 BET Awards on Sunday night wearing a T-shirt from his “Industry Baby” buddy, Lil Nas X.

Lil Nas X was emblazoned on the black T-shirt of Harlow, which was otherwise plain. The Givenchy shoes with pants that Harlow was wearing on the red carpet were discreetly credited by Harlow’s label, Slyly, who left out the name of the Nas T-shirt.

It all started when Lil Nas X expressed his annoyance through Twitter earlier in the month when the BETA Awards event passed him over this year and did not mention him in any of the nominations.

Nas tweeted controversial posts and then deleted them. But the internet did not stop from discussing the hot issue.

“Thank you BET awards. an outstanding zero nominations again. black excellence!,” he stated.

“I just feel like black gay ppl have to fight to be seen in this world and even when we make it to the top mfs try to pretend we are invisible,” Lil Nas X tweeted and then deleted.
