Personal Statement
My name is Jaclyn Menner, I am currently a Junior and attend Rowlett High School in Rowlett, Texas. I have been playing volleyball since I was in the 7th grade. Currently, I am 5'10" and weigh 140. As a freshman I played as starting setter on the varsity team at Garland High School and was awarded the Newcomer of the Year award. As a sophomore I played all-around and starting GHS varsity setter running a 6-2 and as a Junior at Rowlett High School am a member of the varsity team as Setter
I am excited to be on the Instinct Wild Gold 17's team for this club season, working with Coach Mauro Grasso and having an opportunity to contribute to their team to build on their success from last years National qualifying team. For Coach Mauro I play Outside/DS.
I thank Coach Jason for working with me and for trusting me to be his team captain the past two years. Working with him and the team allowed me to grow as a leader and team player which reinforced my love of the game and my dream to play volleyball in college.
For the next level, the things that are important to me and what I am looking for is a team that has team comaraderie, coaching and campus environment are all very important to me. As far as my major, I am currently considering business but will most likely enter college as undecided and make a better determination after my freshman year.
Realistically my goal in college is to be able to play as a freshman and be on a team that my abilities help contribute to the team.
