Personal Statement

    Hi, my name is Jadyn Kulesa. I am a hardworking and determined person who finds joy in achieving my goals. I have been playing travel softball for seven years and am currently on a 16u travel team. The possibility that I may be able to play softball at a collegiate level is something that has driven me throughout the years. Something that I will be able to bring to your softball team is effort. I will always try my best and give 110% at everything I do no matter what the task. Playing softball has not only made me a better person, but has taught me many important life lessons that I will continue to carry with me. 

    When it comes to academics I am looking for schools in the midwest, but am very open to any location. Academics has been very important to me growing up so finding a good school both location and academically speaking are two factors I will play into consideration while choosing where I want to attend. I do not have the slightest idea of what I want to major in so I am very open in those regards. The size of the school also plays a part in my decision making process. From a softball standpoint, I would love to attend a medium to large sized school. I believe that being apart of a larger team would push me to work harder in order to keep my spot on the team. 

    My athletic goals are to make my time playing softball last as long as my body allows me. I find great joy in playing softball, but I am aware of the other things that make life meaningful. To play collegiate softball would serve as validation to me that all of the extra hours and hard work went towards a well deserved place. I am grateful to have made it this far in the wonderful sport of softball and hope to continue this chapter of my life.
