Jalen Kitna Reddit Pictures Cost Him His Football Career

Jalen Kitna reddit pictures have landed him in hot waters. Kitna shared some allegedly shared child s*x abuse images on reddit and discord, after which he faced huge challenges.

According to a press statement from the Gainesville Police Department, Florida’s backup quarterback Jalen Kitna was detained on Wednesday on suspicion of two charges of posting child exploitation material and three counts of possessing child p*rnography. 

In an interview with Gainesville Police Detectives about posting pictures on his discord account, Kitna allegedly said that he thought the two images were legal because he had obtained them online. 

The Gainesville Police Department detained Kitna, the 19-year-old son of former NFL quarterback Jon Kitna, and booked him into the Alachua County prison around 3:20 p.m. ET. 

According to the GPD, he was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday morning to hear the accusations against him.

The state attorney’s office must officially file the five charges, which are second-degree felonies with potential sentences of up to 15 years in prison and fines of up to $10,000. 

Kitna’s electronic devices were confiscated as part of a GPD search warrant, and a preliminary examination of the devices found three further photographs of child sexual assault material. 

Based on the other discord user’s response, Kitna claimed he understood why he shouldn’t have posted those two photographs. 

Shortly after posting the pictures, Kitna said that his discord account had been suspended and that he believed someone had reported him.

According to Kitna, he received an email from discord informing him that his account had been terminated for breaking the terms of service. 

Later, a discord email confirmed that. 

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children tipped off officers, according to a news release from the Gainesville Police Department, that a user had posted a picture of child s*xual assault material on the social networking platform discord. 

As per Gainesville Police Department, an investigation showed that Kitna was probably the account’s owner. 

When authorities questioned Kitna, he claimed that because he had found the photographs online, he believed they were “legal.”

When they investigated Kitna’s electronic devices, they discovered three further photographs of child sexual abuse. 

Florida suspends Jalen Kitna for sharing pictures.

Kitna has been barred from the football team indefinitely. 

The University of Florida Athletic Association released a statement saying, ‘We are startled and saddened to hear of the news surrounding Jalen Kitna. These are incredibly serious allegations, and neither the University of Florida nor the UAA would tolerate such conduct.’

In the course of the season, Kitna, the son of former NFL quarterback Jon Kitna, advanced from third to second on the depth chart, trailing Anthony Richardson.

After Richardson lost his helmet, he played in Florida’s final regular-season game against Florida State and ran five plays, including a 5-yard rush. 

In relief versus Eastern Washington, Kitna completed 181 passes for 181 yards and one touchdown for the whole season. 

Kitna, a redshirt freshman, made four appearances this season and completed 10 of 14 passes for 181 yards and a touchdown.
