The couple won over our hearts before the Channel 4 series Made In Chelsea show had to pause filming halfway through the latest series… You guessed it, it’s Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo.
Mcvities heir Jamie and girlfriend Sophie, the co-owner of sustainable swimwear brand Gi swim, were last seen on the reality show before the lockdown.
OG cast member Jamie had his girlfriend’s back when her ex Harvey Armstrong started forming a romantic bond with her then best friend Emily Blackwell. This was aired in one of the latest April episodes.
So, what are the pair up to now? How did they celebrate their one-year anniversary? Find out all you need to know below!
Jamie and Sophie: How the relationship started
They first got together when they realised they liked each other but were initially good friends.
Habbs previously dated Jamie’s close friend Sam Thompson, but she ended their relationship in December 2018.
Then Jamie broke things off with his former girlfriend Heloise Agostinelli in April last year.
Once they sealed the deal, they faced backlash from other cast members who thought they wouldn’t last. And they split when Habbs found out Jamie slept with Made in Chelsea star Rosi Mai – allegedly while Jamie had started talking to Sophie romantically.

What happened next?
Many texts from loved-up Jamie later, Habbs forgave him for his mistake. He suggested that he hadn’t been sure about what Sophie had wanted at the start of their romance.
And when Habb’s best friend Emily started dating her ex, Jamie was seen sticking up for his girlfriend. Habbs began moving her stuff out to stay in Jamie’s London home with him.
- MEER JESS: And when did she quit the Made in Chelsea?
The romance didn’t stop there, as the pair escaped to his family home in the Cotswolds during the lockdown.
They uploaded daily videos for their fans, such as a tasting test and playing the Whisper Game together.
One-year anniversary: How the pair celebrated
Jamie and Sophie shared pictures to Instagram, celebrating one year since they started dating.
Their Insta stories showed them sunbathing together on the day, and Jamie wrote a devoted post.
It’s our year anniversary and I can proudly say I love this person. We’ve had our highs and lows this year but whatever has happened you have stuck by my side without question and for that I will always love you.
Sophie kept it simple – and shared this cute photo of them looking all loved up.
It hasn’t been confirmed when E4 will bring Made in Chelsea back for a new series, but we expect the reality show to return this autumn.
