Schendel holds two bachelor's degrees, he graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture Science from Florida A & M University and later with Bachelor in Pure Mathematics from Florida State University.

Moreover, Mark earned his Master of Architecture degree from Ohio State University and later joined Harvard Graduate School of Design to earn his Master of Architecture II.
