Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Jed Patrick Buchholz, football player and student. I currently play tailback for the McFarland High School Spartans of McFarland, WI. More importantly, along with football I'm an active high school student involved in numerous clubs and activities. While seeking to remain an outstanding student, I hold positions as class president and Model UN Club president. Additionally I am a member of National Honor Society and have received numerous awards and honors for academic achievement. When it comes to finding a college or university, academics is my first priority. My hope is to attend a respectable law school following my undergraduate studies at an equally respectable campus with a rigorous and selective program. Playing football in college would be an incredible experience; however, education is my top concern. I feel my commitment to the student aspect of student athlete sets me aside from many athletes.  My leadership and dedication are my strongest qualities that are a positive to have both on the field and in the classroom. For any job I've ever had and for any team I've ever played for I've dedicated my full effort, time and commitment. I never plan on giving anything less than my all for those around me. My football team is the closest thing I've ever had to brothers and I swore to each of them I would never let them down, I don't plan on changing that any time soon for any reason. To any team I would ever play for I promise full dedication to the program and for that reason I feel I stand as an outstanding candidate for any team. Thank you and I hope to hear from you soon.
