City Reveal Stones Signing

Chelsea, United Interested in Stones

Wednesday, June 8

"City lead the chase for the England defender, with renewed interest also likely from Chelsea and potentially Jose Mourinho's [Manchester] United," reported John Cross in the Mirror.

Stones Saga Inevitable During Summer Window

Stones is a hugely talented prospect as a central defender and someone who can develop under Guardiola's tutelage. He came under criticism for his decision-making last season when he made some high-profile errors, per the Telegraph's Ali Tweedale, but he will be confident of asserting himself in Manchester.

Everton will be disappointed to lose the England international, but a high-profile exit was always likely at this stage in the 22-year-old's career.
