Personal Statement

 I am a 5'9" center defender from Owatonna Minnesota. I have been on the varsity team since I was a sophomore and a starter my Senior & Junior Seasons. I started all 14 of the games I played in and averaged 80 minutes per game my junior year and again all 19 games this season. I helped in leading our team to Back to Back "Big 9" Conference Titles & also Back to Back “Section 1-AA” titles. I was also named “All-Conference Honorable Mention” my junior year & "All-Conference" this year in the Big 9 conference. This Season I was also selected to Minnesota's All State 2nd team. This Season I was a team Captain, due in part of the leadership I showed as a junior by taking charge of the defensive unit, with constant communication and encouragement. I have a 3.8 GPA and I scored a 29 on my ACT.

   I am a good 1 V 1 defender, I am a very strong in the air, and rarely lose a 50/50 battle. I have good vision of the field, communicate well with my teammates, and know the mental aspect of the game well. I play the game smart and simple and I can pick up on new ideas very easily. I work very hard, I am always the first one to practice and the last one to leave, and I would enjoy learning more as I advance to higher levels of play.

   I am looking to attend & play in, or near, the Midwest. I believe a suburban community would be a good fit with a moderate size enrollment. I need to find a program where I can balance the field and classroom, as well as be challenged in both. I would like to see some playing time as a freshman.
