Personal Statement

I am currently in my Senior year at Huntingtown High School. I am a hardworking, determined, and humble teenager who has a 3.7 GPA and plays Varsity Football. In my 2013 football season, my team, the Hurricanes, finished the season as S.M.A.C. Champions and Regional Champions of the 3A South Division. As a junior, I was the starting center for the Varsity Football team and I received an Honorable mention for an ALL-S.M.A.C. athlete. My whole life mainly revolves around my faith, family, academics, training, and playing football. I strive to try and be the best at any task put in front of me. Academically my goals during my Senior year, is to maintain my high GPA and enter into college with an open attitude. I plan to major in Criminal Justice/ Criminology, and nothing will stop me from achieving my ultimate goal of graduating college and creating my future in the field of Law Enforcement. In my 2014 varsity football season my team and I finished 7-4. From game one I was the starting center and then eventually moved to left guard on game eight. Playing center again for most of the season allowed for me hone in my snapping speed and accuracy all while being able to make the right blocks. At the left guard I was able to show my speed and ability to pull and lead through the hole to create running lanes. The 2014 season allowed me to perfect my old skills and begin new skills that I will perfect in the future of playing on the offensive line for what ever school I may go to. I was named for 1st Team All-County for the PG vs. SMAC game. I plan on going to college and playing football as a center on a team that I can contribute my strength and ability to get the job done. I consider myself to be down to earth and very determined to succeed in my future and on every football field I play on. I will always have the perseverance to better myself by working hard on every assignment or every task asked of me on and off the football field.
