Keith Washington is a Detroit-born R&B singer/songwriter who rose to fame in the early ’90s with his hit single “Kissing You” from his album Make Time for Love. The song earned him a Grammy Award for Best R&B Vocal Performance Male and a Soul Train Music Award for Best R&B/Soul Single – Male in 1992. Washington went on to release his follow-up album, You Make It Easy, in 1993 and KW in 1998 after a hiatus.
Aside from his music career, Washington has also dabbled in acting with roles on TV shows like Martin, General Hospital, and Poetic Justice. He has also hosted the nighttime “slow jams” show “Kisses After Dark” on Detroit radio station WDMK-FM 105.9 (Kiss-FM).
Washington is currently married to Stephanie Grimes, a general sales manager for WGPR-FM 107.5 in Detroit. He has plans to release a new album.
