Personal Statement

I am a 5'4" sophomore from Downers Grove, Illinois, and will graduate in 2011. After seven years of competitive travel ball experience, I was picked in 2009 by the Chicago Suntimes newspaper as one of the top 100 players in the Chicago Metro area as well as one of the top 30 pitchers. Ideally, I would prefer to attend a college where I could pursue my softball aspirations, maximize my leadership skills, and fulfill my penchant for a career in criminalogy and forensics. Although I am inclined to schools in the south, I am open to explore all schools that offer a quality curriculum in my desired field. As a minor, I would also like to be able to study hispanic history in order to better understand my mexican heritage.
