Personal Statement

Playing baseball at the collegiate level (and possibly the professional level) has been a dream of mine since I began to play the game. I have had a love for the game of baseball ever since I could walk and talk and I aspire to play at the next level to prove to myself that I can. Some of my additional motivation behind  why want to play at the next level is to make my parents, coaches, teammates, and the other people who have contributed to my growth, proud. I want to show that their support and sacrifices over the years, as well as mine, were not for nothing. I also want to honor my friend who passed away recently, he was  a great workout partner, neighbor, friend and mentor in my life.  This has only proven more to me that life is too short not to go for your dreams and give it your all. I feel I bring a great energy and work ethic to my team and I love "the grind" each and every day. I believe that I stand out among other potential recruits because I am a very coachable player with a high baseball IQ and a very strong work ethic . I leave everything on the field when I play.  I love game time pressure and pride myself on being able to focus and execute under it. I believe my personality and ethics both on and off the field help me be a good student, son and teammate. I am truly blessed to have the people I  have in my life. Academically, I work very hard to ensure I am getting the best education I can to help with my future career and  opportunities.
