Jorge Messi, the father of soccer superstar Lionel Messi, denied rumors his son is set to bolt Paris Saint-Germain this summer for a £522 million yearly contract from Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal.
"There's absolutely nothing agreed with any club for next season. We will decide at the end of the season. ... Nothing is signed, agreed or verbally agreed. Only fake news using Leo's name," Jorge Messi said in a statement.

On Tuesday, Agence France-Presse reported Messi's move to Saudi Arabia was a "done deal." The Daily Mail's Max Mathewsreported a two-year deal with Al-Hilal would be worth £522 million ($658 million).
PSG suspended Messi this month for missing a practice to make a trip to Saudi Arabia, though the club reduced the suspension after the Argentinian forward issued an apology.
Messi returned to training with the club Monday and is set to play Saturday against AC Ajaccio, per Julien Laurens of ESPN.
PSG has Messi under contract through the end of June, at which point he will be eligible to negotiate a move to another club. It's considered highly unlikely the soon-to-be free agent will return to the Paris side, which he joined in 2021 after playing for Barcelona since 2004.
A return to Barcelona has been mentioned but remains unlikely given the financial restrictions the club is under.
