With great sadness, we report the news of the missing 48-year-old Mike Bishop, who was found deceased in his submerged truck in the Mississippi River on January 2nd.
Bishop, a resident of Louisa County, Iowa, had been reported missing in mid-December and the search for him had been ongoing.
The divers from the Chaos Divers team located the vehicle on sonar at around 09:45 a.m. and, after confirming that the truck’s plates matched the description of Bishop’s vehicle, a team member dove into the river to assess the situation.
Initially, the divers faced some difficulties due to the location and equipment, but they were eventually able to remove the truck from the river. It was a heartbreaking moment when they found Bishop’s body still inside the vehicle.
The Chaos Divers team later confirmed Bishop’s death, expressing their condolences and offering their assistance to the family. “We’re very sorry about Mike’s passing,” they said, adding, “Our thoughts and hearts go out to his loved ones during this difficult time.”
Bishop was described as a kind and caring individual who was always willing to lend a helping hand. His family and friends deeply loved him, and he will be greatly missed.
The loss of such a special person is a tragedy that will be felt by those who knew him for a long time to come.
As the community comes together to support Bishop’s loved ones during this difficult time, it is important to remember the lessons we can learn from this tragedy.
Life is precious and can be taken from us at any moment, so it is vital that we cherish the time we have with our loved ones and do everything we can to make the most of every day.
Bishop’s passing is a reminder to all of us to embrace life and the people we love and to always be grateful for the time we have together.
