Consensus opinions have been hard to find during most of mock-draft season, but it feels like some are finally forming at the top. At this point, most credible mocks open with Risacher at the top and French big man Alex Sarr going right behind to the Washington Wizards at No. 2.

"Teams and agents believe that if the Atlanta Hawks don't draft Alex Sarr, the Washington Wizards will take him at No. 2," Wasserman wrote. "... Though some scouts and executives have questioned Sarr's offensive polish for a top pick, the Wizards are expected to be patient during its rebuild."

The Athletic's Sam Vecenie shared a similar sentiment, noting the Wizards are "in the market for upside swings." ESPN's Jeremy Woo added Sarr "is thought to be comfortable coming off the board [at No. 2], with the Wizards' younger roster offering a clearer path to playing time and an opportunity to grow into an expanded role."

Washington took forever to embrace an obviously overdue rebuild, so its roster is lagging behind even the other bottom-feeders in terms of building blocks. The Wizards can, should and almost certainly will swing for the fences at No. 2, and it feels like that means drafting Sarr, who projects as a do-it-all defender with potential as a finisher, shooter and short-roll ball-handler.
