This hotel is bedecked with history (Rembrandt’s work once hung here), the grand 19th-century style is preserved in the lobby, while the rooms are done in modern minimalism. The central location is hard-to-beat, with some rooms offering fine canal views. Breakfast is excellent, but there’s no restaurant, spa or gym.
