Personal Statement

My skating career starting when I was 5 years old competing as a solo figure skater and then moving onto a synchronized figure skating team. I followed the sport of hockey watching my older brother play AAA hockey for several years. I have since been playing hockey for 7 years now. I have played on 2 all boys teams during my squirt years. I played for the Cleveland Lady Barons AAA for 4 years. I have earned Captain and Assistant Captain from my peers and coaches the past 2 years on my Barons teams. I currently play at Northwood Prep School in Lake Placid, New York. I am going into my fourth year at Northwood, I will be a senior this fall playing on the U19 girls Prep team. Our team had an amazing 2019-2020 season at 46-14-6 and ranking 16th. in the nation in the Girls Tier 1 league. 

A highlight of my hockey career to date was playing for Pro Hockey Development out of Toronto, Ontario.  We traveled to Italy the spring of 2018. We visited Venice, Verona and played hockey in Bolzano. We placed 3rd in the World Selects Invitational. I played again for Pro Hockey Development U18 girls team the summer of 2019 traveling to Sweden and Finland. We WON GOLD in the World Championship game! A trip I will remember forever!

I am very driven and a leader in all my activities in and outside of school, on and off the ice. My goal is to ultimately play womens college hockey while pursuing my career I have chosen.
