Pete Alonso’s parents, Michelle Lynn Alonso and Peter Matthew Alonso, live in Tampa, Florida. The couple met during their high school days, and their love sparked from there.
His mother, Michelle, was born in Lancaster, Ohio, to her parents, June and Jonas. After marrying Peter, they relocated to Florida, where he got an executive post in a consulting firm.
Another reason they moved from Ohio to Florida was because they were long-game people, so they escaped Ohio's cold weather. Michelle has always emphasized family and bond.
Michelle is a former Softball player; she played at Ohio Wesleyan University. She used to drive Alonso to Tampa for all his games.
Pete Alonso’s father, Peter Matthew, is the son of Peter Conrad Alonso, a Spanish Refugee. He fled as a teenager from Barcelona to escape the Spanish Civil War and settled in Queens, New York.
His Grandfather achieved multiple degrees from New York University and fought for the United States in the Military Intelligence Division during World War II. He is no more. He passed away at the age of 95.
Peter Matthew Alonso was born in Queens and grew up there until his family moved to Ohio. Five Peter Alonsos are in his family, but the middle name differs.
The Mets games mostly turn into small family reunions for Pete Alonso and his newly minted Mets-fan family members.
Growing up, Peter was not allowed to eat off kids’ menus as his parents felt processed food was bad for anybody.
