Peyton Manning confirmed rumors that he is pursuing Bill Belichick to join his entertainment company, Omaha Productions.

"If it comes to fruition, I think fans will be excited to see how incredibly brilliant Bill Belichick is when talking about football and how witty and funny he is," Manning told Andrew Marchand of The Athletic.

Marchand previously broke word on the matter on March 6 and referenced the possibility that Belichick and recently retired Alabama head coach Nick Saban, who just inked a deal to appear on ESPN's College GameDay, could team up together.

"If Manning were to sign Belichick, the idea of teaming with ESPN to create a Belichick and Nick Saban 'Manningcast' is expected to be broached, according to officials briefed on the plans. Saban, considered by many the greatest college football coach of all time, joined ESPN's 'College GameDay"'after retiring from Alabama. (ESPN/Omaha could call it the 'GOAT Cast.')

"Belichick has yet to meet with ESPN, but ESPN is interested in Belichick. Omaha Productions and ESPN work closely together on 'Monday Night Football' alt-casts, the Manning-hosted documentary 'Peyton's Places,' and satellite shows."

Belichick, an eight-time Super Bowl champion, parted ways with the New England Patriots after serving as their head coach for 24 seasons. Manning was an on-field rival for a good chunk of that time as the quarterback of the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos.

But perhaps the two could be teammates off the field now as Belichick ponders his next move. Coaching is out of the question for 2024 as all the NFL openings have been filled. Belichick has been rumored to take a television job for the season, then. Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports reported in January that sources expected Belichick to land on TV in 2024.

"Every network would want him," one media agent told Jones. "He would revolutionize media with the way he prepares."

It's clear Manning wants him based on his comments. At this point, it's just a matter of what Belichick decides as the ex-coach enters a new future.
