If parents are a tree, then children are like apples. Usually, an apple will fall under the tree, it tends to stay close.

Similarly, Ray Stevenson children, Leonardo George and Sebastiano Derek, were the treasure of his life.

Not much is known about the coveted actor’s children since he liked to keep them away from unnecessary attention and scrutiny, which was a major part of his profession.

Stevenson, a British actor who made his mark by working in movies like RRR, Thor, and Divergent, departed from this world on May 21st, 2023. He was only 58 years old at the time of his passing.

The news of his demise was announced and confirmed by his publicist. Ray Stevenson’s unprecedented passing is nothing less than a shock.

People who adored and admired him are unable to process this heart-wrenching news. As of now, Stevenson’s cause of death has been swept under the rug.

A friend of the late actor paid tribute to him in the following words, “I’m shocked and saddened by the tragic news that a great actor and my good friend Ray Stevenson has passed away. I will miss you Big Ray! Life is short so make the most of it people.”

Ray’s untimely demise has created an irreplaceable void in the entertainment industry, and his absence will be deeply felt by his fans and colleagues.

Contrary to popular expectation, Ray Stevenson children have not commented on their father’s sudden death.

Moving on, let’s take a closer look at the late British actor’s personal life and career achievements.

Exploring Ray Stevenson’s humble background & achievements

George Raymond Stevenson, more commonly known as Ray Stevenson, was born on May 25, 1964, in Lisburn, Northern Ireland.

Stevenson spent his childhood and teenage in England and attended the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.

Since teenage, Stevenson was pretty clear about his goals and wanted to pursue a career in acting.

He began acting professionally in the early 1990s with small roles in British TV shows such as “The Bill” and “Casualty.”

The beginning of his professional career did not have a very fruitful outcome. His initial shows went unnoticed.

Ray Stevenson entered the world of movies in 1997. He made his debut in the movie “The Return of the Native.”

Unfortunately, his debut movie did not have the outcome he was expecting. However, it was his role as Titus Pullo in the HBO series “Rome” that brought him widespread recognition and critical acclaim.

The success of ‘Rome’ opened up doors of opportunity for the Ireland native. He starred in highly successful movies like “King Arthur,” “Punisher: War Zone,” and “Thor.”

His intense and rightful portrayal of these characters cemented his place in the entertainment industry.

He became known for playing characters that were tough, gritty, and inclined towards violence.

In addition to his work on screen, Stevenson has also done voice-over work for video games such as “Assassin’s Creed III” and “Call of Duty: Black Ops II.”

Luck hardly played any role in Stevenson’s success as an actor. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that the late actor worked immensely hard and was super dedicated to his craft.

He often underwent intense physical training to prepare for his roles. For example, he gained over 30 pounds of muscle to play Frank Castle/The Punisher in “Punisher: War Zone.”

Stevenson gave his heart and soul to the movies he worked in and that’s what earned him a reputable spot in the ever-growing entertainment industry.

Despite his accomplishments, Stevenson maintained a humble and down to earth nature. He once said in an interview, “I’m just a working actor trying to do my job.” This modesty earned him a place in his fans and colleagues’ hearts.

Moreover, Ray is set to appear as a Dark Jedi in the upcoming Star Wars Ahsoka series on Disney+.

Right before his death, Ray was cast in the historical drama 1242: Gateway to the West. The role offered to Ray was originally going to be played by Kevin Spacey.

In an interview with Backstage in 2020, Stevenson said his acting idols were the likes of Lee Marvin and Gene Hackman.

He said: “Never a bad performance, and brave and fearless within that caliber. It was never the young, hot leading man; it was men who I could identify.”

Since Ray was not sick or old enough to die due to aging, the news of his death was as shocking as an earthquake.

What was Ray Stevenson net worth?

A highly successful career in the film world ought to have a pleasing monetary outcome. Since Ray worked in movies for almost two decades, he had successfully accumulated a net worth of $8 million.

Who is the mother of Ray Stevenson children?

The late British actor tied the knot with actress Ruth Gemmell back in 1997. Despite being from the same field, Ray and Ruth’s marriage did not last, and the pair got divorced in 2005.

Ruth Gemmell is widely recognized for her role in the hit Netflix show, Bridgerton, as well as for being a kids’ TV legend.

During the course of their eight years long marriage, Ruth and Ray did not give birth to any children.

After getting a divorce from his wife, Ray Stevenson did not try his luck at marriage again throughout his life. But that does not mean that he spent the rest of his life as a singleton.

The deceased actor dated Elisabetta Caraccia for years. It’s not known when did their relationship begin exactly, but one can only assume that it started after Ray parted ways with Ruth.

Ray Stevenson’s surviving heirs and only children, Sebastiano and Leonardo, also came from his relationship with Caraccia.

According to PEOPLE, Caraccia is an anthropologist. The ‘Thor’ actor and his girlfriend welcomed their first child Sebastiano on December 24, 2008.

It’s not known where Ray Stevenson children live or if they followed in their father’s footsteps or not.
