Richard Dean Anderson is not married yet. Despite being in few relationships throughout his life, he never tied the knot with anyone.

The 73-year-old started dating a businesswoman named Dana Freedman in the early 1990s. Dana worked at a production firm in LA when she first met Richard.

The pair got into an on-and-off relationship for nearly a year that eventually turned serious in 1992. While Anderson didn't get engaged to Dana, he thought she was his true soulmate at one point.

Although Richard had dropped hints that he wanted to settle down with Freedman, the couple separated amicably after a while. 

He Dated Apryl Prose In 1996

Richard and Apryl's first date was set up by a mutual friend named Michael Greenburg. The pair immediately hit it off and soon began dating.

Apryl is a prop and wardrobe specialist turned actress. She initially worked on ads in TV and print media before transitioning to acting. 

Prose played the role of a waitress in the 2007 movie, Chasing Roberts. She also worked as a crew member in Senseless (1998) and 8 Heads in a Duffel Bag (1997).

During their first date, Apryl was instantly attracted by his bad-boy attitude. But, what impressed her more was his sweetness and generosity. 

Convinced that he was the one, Prose even called her mother to say that she planned to remain together with Dean for the rest of her life. 

The couple welcomed Wylie into their lives in 1998. At the time, Prose and Anderson were in a long-distance relationship. 

Richard took his fatherly roles pretty seriously and was inseparable from Wylie during her early years. He lived in Vancouver at the time, whereas Apryl and Wylie were settled in California. The couple had made a mutual agreement to raise their child in the US.

Although the two tried working things out for the sake of Wylie, the physical distance between them took a heavy toll on the relationship. 

Richard and Apryl amicably split in 2003. After the breakup, Prose got married to her husband named Jim. The duo has two children from the marriage.

Meanwhile, Dean never got into a serious relationship after the split.
