Personal Statement
I am a good candidate for a college team because I am a hard working, and dedicated team player. I do not ask questions when my coach tells me to do something and I get along very well with my teammates. I give 110% at all times and I respect my coaches and teammates, and always try to be the first one on the field. Even my coaches have said I am the hardest working player on the team. I excel in my outfield abilities and have excellent tracking abilities. My speed gives me an advantage to get to the ball quickly. I do whatever it takes to make the play. I am a great base-runner and bunter and hit hard line drives consistently. I love to dive or slide when then opportunity arises. I believe I have proven that by being a starting player on the varsity team my freshman year. My theory is that if you want something, you have to work for it; it is not given to you.
As far as my academics, I find biology, mathematics, and writing interesting. My grades reflect my hard work in all my subjects. I am also in honors band, playing the flute, freshman year as the only freshman in honors. My goal is to major in biology and eventually become a marine biologist, or work in an elephant sanctuary. Additionally, I am passionate about softball and would love to play in college.
I believe these qualities make me an excellent candidate for college teams and I am willing to prove myself in any way possible.
