Shooting on Riverside Pkwy in Austell Friday, man arrested

AUSTELL, Ga. — A man is now behind bars and another is dead after a deadly shooting in Austell on Friday afternoon, according to Cobb County Police.
The shooting happened at the 1300 block of Riverside Parkway just around 1:28 p.m. When police arrived, they found 20-year-old Kenneth McGrew shot. He was taken to the hospital but died.
According to law enforcement, police identified 22-year-old Nijier Drakeford as the alleged suspect in the deadly incident.
Drakeford was arrested in Atlanta, according to Cobb County Police.
Police are still investigating the incident. They are asking if anyone has any new information about the case to call the department at 770-499-4111.
