On paper, Paris Saint-Germain’s visit to Toulouse on Saturday should be a routine away victory for the league leaders. However, confidence is high in the Rose City at the moment and Dominique Arribage will be looking to cause a huge upset at the Stade Municipal.

PSG are unbeaten. They have the best defensive record in the league and only one Ligue 1 side has prevented them from scoring this season—the omens for Le Tefece are not good. That said, the home side's form has been much improved of late.

With only one defeat in their last six games, plus the cup victory over Marseille midweek, Toulouse are in the best position they have been all season to mount an attack against the champions. It’ll most likely end in an away win—but the rest of the league lives in hope.

Arribage’s team selection will be based on who is feeling the effects of playing extra-time against Marseille on Wednesday. Martin Braithwaite came on and scored the winner, and he is almost certain to start.

Jean-Daniel Akpa-Akpro will also come in to give the midfield some more experience. He will replace young Zinedine Machach, the teenager has hurt his shoulder and will miss the game.

Akpa-Akpro will play to the right of the midfield three—Wissam Ben Yedder will play just ahead, beside Oscar Trejo, but due to his attacking instincts it will often look like a 4-4-2 diamond.

Laurent Blanc confirmed in Friday's press conference that Thiago Silva would miss the game with a knee injury, plus there were doubts over David Luiz and Angel Di Maria. For the latter a decision wouldn't be made until after the next training session.

With doubts over Di Maria, there is a good chance that Lucas Moura will start after his goal against Lyon. The Brazilian would have been eyeing Edinson Cavani's place in the squad, but this could give him another chance to impress.

Player to Watch

Back at the start of November, when these two sides last met, the name of Alban Lafont wouldn't have meant much to anyone outside of Toulouse. The 16-year-old goalkeeper is now one of the hottest prospects in Europe and defying all odds to become his team's No.1.

Lafont was given his debut against Nice, and the teenager recorded a clean sheet in the 2-0 win; he has started every league game since.

When you watch him command his area, it’s easy to forget just how young he is. Standing at 6'3" tall, the young Frenchman has a huge future ahead of him. Rested on Wednesday, he is back in the squad and ready to take on his biggest challenge to date.

Key Battle

Thiago Silva was given a rest on Wednesday night, but Blanc ruled him out of Saturday's game on Friday. This means Marquinhos and possibly David Luiz will face a striker brimming with confidence at the moment. Ben Yedder’s goal against Marseille in the 2-1 cup win was his 10th in just eight games.

It followed on from his hat-trick against Stade de Reims, and linked with a move away this month, per the Sun, the 25-year-old has fired himself into the shop window.

Too often the PSG defence is allowed to waltz through the game, playing in no higher than second gear, but if Ben Yedder really wants to catch some attention, a big display against the Parisians will do his cause no harm at all. It could even add a few digits to Toulouse's asking price.

If Luiz also misses out, the reshuffle will give the forward a huge opportunity.

With the best defensive record in the league, PSG will be in no mood for gifts. The guile of Ben Yedder against the presence of the Brazilian should be a superb battle.
